Educating Our Future Leaders

Our Philosophy

At Abilene Learning Academy we educate our students in a safe and fun atmosphere. We are teaching our students the fundamentals of school and preparing our future leaders to be the best version of them. We offer a variety of classes to jump start our student's education and set them up for greatness. Our classes include Reading/Writing, Math, Science and Music. Students will also have access to our open library several times a week.

We strive to help our students discover the fun and excitement in learning, by helping them to use their imagination in every lesson. Here at Abilene Learning Academy Every Child is special. Let us educate your future leader!

Our Staff

Juliane Ferguson

Owner/Director

"Everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear" -- George Addair

Juliane has always been very passionate about our children’s future. She opened a daycare in her home in 2016. Her love for all the children she has cared for has inspired her to open Abilene Learning Academy. She has taken several early childhood education courses and has also received her Director’s Credentials. With all her hard work and careful consideration in selecting her staff, Juliane aspires to bring a loving and fun atmosphere to the learning of our future leaders of Abilene!

When she is not working, Juliane spends all of her time with her family.

Miya Aboso

Math Teacher

"Let all that you do be done in love."

Miya has completed several courses in early childhood development and has had over a year experience with another home day care facility with the age group ranging from 18 months to 4 years of age. She is excited to add her knowledge to our learning academy!

Miya’s goal is to show our children the excitement and fun of learning Math. With our school curriculum, Miya will be preparing our young minds for their next step in life!

Jeanie Randle

Assistant Director

"The primary responsibility of the teacher is to meet the learning needs of her students -- all of her students."

Jeanie has obtained her doctoral degree in Education from the University of Phoenix in Educational Leadership, a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Diverse Populations (Special Education) from the University of Texas. She has received an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies from Midland College.

Jeanie comes to us with an extensive teaching experience having taught as a Head Start Teacher, a Kindergarten Teacher, and a Special Education Teacher (PPCD). In addition, she has taught at-risk students in grades 6-12, and as Lead Teacher for High School students for grades 9-12, and adjunct professor for the University of Texas.

My philosophy of education is that all children are capable of learning when provided with a warm, loving, nurturing learning environment. Learning should be pragmatic and relevant to student’s lives.  Students are unique individuals, with unique and diverse learning styles, therefore teaching styles should be tailored to help each individual to reach their full learning potential.

Using both her Master's Degree and her years of experience reading to her own little ones, we know Brynn will be able to help guide and nurture other young minds to a love of reading.

Brynn is originally from Panhandle, TX. She lives in Abilene with her two children, Henry and Genevieve.

Ashley Dunn

"What we learn becomes a part of who we are."

Ashley is currently in school majoring in Early Childhood Education. Ashley is excited to guide your little ones in expressing their selves through some modern and educational music! Finding their rhythm, building confidence, and working as a group are just some of the skills that will come with our music class.

Having two small children of her own that she dotes on, Ashley brings that same caring, nurturing qualities with her.
